Wind and conditions
Nobody else publishes this. We do, because it is the single fact that most decides whether your trip works.

| Month | Typical wind | Teaching |
|---|---|---|
| January | 8–14 knots | Light Wet season. Teaching runs on trainer kites and light-wind gear; some days do not blow at all. |
| February | 8–14 knots | Light The quietest month for wind. Good for foiling, thin for beginners. |
| March | 9–15 knots | Light Wind starts to return late in the month. Bookings are easy to get. |
| April | 10–16 knots | Workable The shoulder. Workable for lessons most days, and much quieter than June. |
| May | 12–20 knots | Good The season opens. Consistent afternoon wind and the lagoon is not yet busy. |
| June | 15–25 knots | Prime Prime. The south-east trades set in and blow most afternoons. |
| July | 18–30 knots | Prime The strongest and most reliable month. Book well ahead. |
| August | 18–30 knots | Prime As strong as July and the busiest on the water. Early sessions are calmer. |
| September | 14–22 knots | Good Still good, noticeably less crowded. Many people's favourite month. |
| October | 11–17 knots | Workable The trades ease off. Lessons still run most days. |
| November | 9–15 knots | Light Light and increasingly wet. Foil weather rather than beginner weather. |
| December | 8–14 knots | Light Wet season proper. We teach, but we will tell you honestly if your dates look thin. |
