The school

Flat water inside the reef, steady trade winds from May to September, and instructors who will tell you honestly whether your dates will work.

Who teaches you

  • Wayan Suarta

    IKO Level 2 · 11 years teaching

Born in Sanur, first towed behind a fishing boat at fourteen and kiting on the lagoon by sixteen. Wayan has taught here for eleven years and knows the reef at every state of tide, which matters more than it sounds.

Nervous first-timers, and anyone convinced they are too old to start.

  • Ketut Arya

IKO Level 1, Lifeguard · 6 years teaching

Came to kitesurfing from surfing and still prefers the days when both are possible. Ketut is the calmest person on the water and the one we send out when someone loses a board a long way downwind.

Board recovery, body-dragging, and building confidence in stronger wind.

  • Hanna Vogt

IKO Level 2, First Aid · 8 years teaching

Learned in the North Sea, which she describes as good preparation for appreciating warm water. Hanna handles most of our German-speaking students and teaches the foil sessions.

Hydrofoil, transitions, and teaching in German.

What people actually say

  • “I booked at midnight from Warsaw and had a confirmed time before I went to bed. After three weeks of unanswered WhatsApp messages to other schools, that alone sold me.”
    Marta K. · Poland
  • “Forty-one, unfit, and quietly certain I would be the one who could not do it. Wayan had me riding short runs on day three. Nobody made me feel slow.”
    James O. · Australia
  • “The wind dropped on my second morning and they told me straight away rather than letting me sit on the beach hoping. Rebooked for the afternoon, no argument, no fee.”
    Sophie L. · France
  • “Hanna taught the safety systems in German until I could do them without thinking. In an emergency you do not translate — that mattered more than I expected.”
    Tobias R. · Germany
  • “I am from Denpasar and had never tried it. Being taught in Indonesian by someone from Sanur made the whole thing feel like it was for me too, not only for tourists.”
    Dewi A. · Indonesia
  • “The price on the website was the price I paid. After comparing five schools where nobody would publish a number, that was refreshing.”
    Ben H. · United Kingdom
  • “Lost the board a long way out on my first water start. Ketut was beside me before I had finished panicking, and then made me practise it until it stopped being frightening.”
    Yuki T. · Japan
