The first real lesson. You rig a kite from scratch, learn the safety systems and use them deliberately rather than in a panic, and fly a full-size kite in the water. Most people spend this session standing in waist-deep water on the inside of the reef, which is why Sanur is where people learn. Self-rescue is taught here and not later, because it is the skill that makes everything after it survivable.
